Beer Review - Persephone Honey Farmhouse Ale

The Beer: Persephone Honey Farmhouse Ale - Belgian Style Saison

The question: What's more fitting than enjoying Persephone Brewing Company's latest seasonal brew, the Honey Farmhouse Ale, out on the patio in the sun with good friends, you ask? (Really you did just ask that right?)

How about when one of those friends is straight outta Belgium?

The answer: Nothing, nothing at all...(Thank you PJ and Annelies for coming to visit us!)

And how could anything be more fitting? It's just not a fair battle.

This delicious brew was made with a true ale lover in mind believe it or not. I already know what you're thinking so just stop it right now. Nu! <-- Dutch for now.

A saison that leaves you yearning for more because it's just the right amount of sweet with a nice light hoppy finish. How's this even possible? Persephone will probably never tell you. But maybe, just maybe they have some Belgians hiding in the back? Or it's the wildflower honey used in each batch, hence the name Honey Farmhouse Ale? I like the Belgian idea better...

Anyways...if you're not typically into saisons because they're too sweet for you, you absolutely must run, not walk, to your local craft beer touting liquor store and pick up as many of these delicious honey coloured wonders as you can carry home, because these beauties will not last! Or head to Persephone in Gibsons on the Sunshine Coast for a nice get away this weekend.
