The Beer: Whistler Brewing Company's Whiskey Jack Ale
Don't let the name fool you. This beer is as easy drinking as skiing down the Blue Line for your warm up run. Not to say it isn't enjoyable to partake in; no, no. You'll like this one! Whistler Brewing Company's Whiskey Jack Ale is named as such in honour of the Whiskey Jack bird. You know, that little guy harassing skiers waiting in the lift lines. As much as the Whiskey Jack bird is part of your experience on the slopes, this beer needs to be as much a part of your post-run tradition.
After a long day on the slopes you want something to quench your thirst and work out those kinks. Water and massage...uh...no. BEER! That's the answer to all of your post-run woes. And plus, it gets you ready for night skiing...just kidding! (disclaimer: CCT doesn't not recommend drinking and skiing/snowboarding etc.)
If you can't wait until the ski season opens back up to enjoy one of these delectable brews, don't worry. They're available year round at your local liquor store, so go pick up a six pack today. After all, as the most experienced athletes will tell you, it's how you practise in the off season that really counts!
