Duncan, British Columbia is now in the brewing game! Nestled smack dab in the middle of Victoria and Nanaimo is Red Arrow Brewing . Once home to a motorcycle shop, this space makes for a nice tap room.
We would recommend the Chocolate Cherry Porter. "It's like Dr. Pepper grew up to brew a beer," said one of our guests on a trip up last week.
The Tap house serves up to 3 samples and has growler fills. You can see they are building a pretty unique man cave with a record player and a few personalized posters around the bar.
Up there with the Chocolate Cherry porter is the Sweet Leaf IPA. It has a bit of a floral hop and is lower in IBUs so everyone can enjoy it.
We would recommend this tap house if you have to drive between Victoria and Nanaimo. If you are, don't miss a Wolf Brewing Co in Nanaimo and Axe & Barrel Brewing Co in Victoria/Langford. Also on the drive is Riot brewing in Chemainus just south of Nanaimo.
