About Arrowhead Brewery

In the heart of the Columbia Valley, situated in East Kootenay, British Columbia is the Arrowhead Brewing Company. Only 3 hours away from Calgary, the brewery was established in 2012 by co-owners Shawn and Leanne Tegart. Lovers of craft beer can enjoy a specially made beer at the tap room in Arrowhead or take away bomber bottles, 6 packs or growler refills. Anyone in the area should definitely make a stopover at Arrowhead for a tasting, a growler refill or a bite to eat.

The tasting room is inspired by a 50’s gas station theme and it displays an extensive line of merchandise and products. Some of the merchandise available includes t-shirts, tanks, hoodies, tops, hats, growlers, pitchers, key chains, belt buckles, soup mix, and even preserves. While you scroll through the extensive line of merchandise available for purchase, you can enjoy one of the seven beers available on tap.  When Arrowhead opened its doors, only two styles were available for purchase.

Arrowhead Brewing Year Round Beers

Some of the permanent fixtures on tap include 'Original 83 Honey Ale' - which is a brown ale made with honey that is locally sourced, 'Lady Mouth Soup' - a Double IPA that is made from tons of hops and malt, 'the Night Train' - an Imperial Black Ale made from Simcoe hops, 'I’m so Freaking Hoppy' - an Imperial IPA with notes of orange and grapefruit, or the 'Doc Tergat ESB' - which has tropical notes of pineapple and passion fruit, and it won the East Kootenay Beer Festival back in 2014.

Other popular beer include 'Kick Ass Coffee Cream Ale' - a dark cream ale that was a collaboration with Kicking Horse Coffee, 'Been Thinking About Getting the Band Back Together' - an Indian Session Ale that has a good hops flavor, 'Black Jack' - a dry Irish Stout that is complemented by chocolate and caramel notes, 'Greywolf Premium Lager', and the 'Blonde Bombshell'.

Arrowhead Brewing Seasonal Beers

The seasonal beers available include 'Berries of the Night', which is one of the most popular seasonal beers. 'Berries of the Night' is produced with real raspberries that are farmed in BC. It has a tart and crisp flavor that is refreshing.  Alternatively, 'Let’s Talk About The Weather' is a hefeweizen that is created with a lemon peel in the place of the traditional orange and uses a hefe yeasts to give the beer clove and banana notes. The last seasonal 'Lady Luck' is a deliciously sour Saison made in small batches.
