The View Winery

The View Winery (know for it's spectacular views) is set in a vintage 1922 apple packing house. In the mid 1990s a transition began and orchard rows were replaced with vines. Spartans and McIntosh gave way to Gewurztraminer, Riesling, Ehrenfelser, Optima, and Pinotage. On the remaining orchard, the View produces cider specific apples for their craft Wards Ciders. With an age-old family recipe and the expertise of their wine making staff, The View proudly crafts apple cider that is true to their past.

The History

The old packing house was converted into a winery in 2006 and within the first year, there were 500 cases of wine. The View now produces over ten thousand cases each year. Their diverse portfolio of award-winning wines includes Riesling, Gewürztraminer, Pinot Gris, Ehrenfelser, and signature reds: Pinotage and Pinot Noir. The rosé has emerged as a favorite as have the Silver Lining Estate blends. In 2013 they added BC's only wine in a can with BLING Sparkling Wine Spritzer.

Nestled amid rolling orchards and vines, The View is just minutes from downtown Kelowna. The View is known for their sassy, fun atmosphere with a twist. Be sure to look for the Big Red Shoe when you’re in the area!
