Saanich Peninsula Wine Tour - Bachelorette Party
A van from Canadian Craft Tours picked my girlfriends and I up at the brides residence early enough for what promised to be the wine tour of a lifetime. With less than a month to the wedding, we were looking for a Victoria Bachelorette Party Idea that would allow us to send her off in the manner she deserved. A Victoria Bachelorette Wine Tour turned out to be the best idea as it would allow us to spend time together in beautiful surroundings, sampling the best vintages that the Saanich Peninsula had to offer. Although we had the option to pay individually we were unsure on the the total turnout so we opted to hire the tour by the hour and pay our own samples so we could double up on samples at Devine.
Devine Winery & Distillery
We visited various wineries including the DeVine Winery and Distillery where we enjoyed organic wines and specially prepared spirits. At Church and State Wines, we sampled four wines including a Cabernet Merlot, Trebella, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir and had the opportunity to enjoy wonderful meals created with local produce at the winery’s bistro. We also purchased a number of vintages to enjoy back home once the tour was over. There was plenty of room in our shuttle for all the wine we purchased.
Tip: You can rent the shuttle by the hour and pay your own tastings if you think you'll want to host a private tour. This lets you choose a few more venues and double up at Devine (Wine and Spirits).
Symphony Winery & Distillery
We also opted to visit the small, family run Symphony Vineyard for some wines made entirely from locally grown grapes. We enjoyed every part of the tour, though there were some complaints that the day passed entirely too quickly which may have been caused by the fact that we were enjoying ourselves so much that we did not notice the time passing. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone looking for the best Victoria Bachelorette party Ideas.
