Beer Review - Steamworks Jasmine IPA

The Beer: Steamworks Jasmine IPA

Steamworks, an icon in historic Gas Town in downtown Vancouver BC. Great food paired with great beer, you can't go wrong. I love sitting down stairs looking at those shiny brass kettles while I enjoy a good meal.

Now that I'm a good three hours outside of downtown it's a rare event that I get to enjoy Steamworks unless we end a tour there. I love that I can still go down to the local BCL and pick up a couple of their delicious creations.

This one, the Jasmine IPA, caught my eye right away. Check out the label, the panoramic picture of the lions guarding the China Town gates pouring what must be delicious Steamworks beer.

On the nose, hops. On the palate, hops. This beer knows what it is. But that distinct jasmine scent can't be missed. It makes this beer as unique as that guy hanging down there carving feathers out of wood. Good grab a few Steamworks Jasmine IPA as soon as you can. Or better yet, go enjoy them on site at Steamworks Brew Pub in downtown Vancouver. It's a little piece of Vancouver that you don't want to miss!
