Beachfire Brewing

Beach Fire Brewing and Nosh House

At Beach Fire Brewing and Nosh House, people meet to enjoy craft beer made locally and to mingle over an eclectic menu selection.  Beach Fire was Campbell River’s first ever craft brewery, and the proprietors, who are made up of three friends did not leave any stone unturned when it came to the preparation process. As soon as you walk into the brewery, the attention to detail is evident owing to the local artwork posted on the walls and the handmade furniture.

The staff at Beach Fire Brewing is extremely friendly and will most assuredly welcome you with open arms as soon as you walk in.  The brewery was opened by Laura Gosnell, Darrin Finnerty, and Matthew Fox.  The three partners decided to open up a brewery in Campbell River after they noticed a gap in the market.

The trio was mentored by other established breweries such as Gladstone and Cumberland brewing, and they received a lot of support from the local community to enable them to start making and selling their beer. Beach Fire has experienced and enjoyed a lot of success since it opened in November 2016. The brewery is continuously flooded by a steady stream of customers that translate into a crowded house especially on weekends.

Beach fire hours

The brewery is open six days each week and is a full draught bar with an option for sleeves or pints.  An order for flights awards a patron a taste of the flagship beers or a chance to sample their favorites. The brewery also does one liter and 2-liter growlers that can be purchased and refilled on site. Beach Fire also welcomes refills from jugs belonging to other breweries.

The line up of the beer includes a stout, a blonde, a pale, and amber.  The beach blonde is light, has a hoppy balance full of flavor and is delicious. The High Tide Pale Ale is Beach Fire’s version of a West Coast Pale Ale; it has a pleasant bitterness and a wonderful citrus flavor that warms your belly. The Wheelbender Stout, on the other hand, is a beast of its own variety as it is a version of a classic Irish stout. It is light bodied and is very delicious.

The brewery does not plan to distribute anytime soon as it still has to establish itself as a vital member of the Campbell community. One thing is for sure though, that Beach Fire Brewing is bound to serve quality beer for a long time.
