Calgary is home to many of Canada's award-winning craft breweries, including the 2020 and 2021 Canadian Breweries of the Year, several national Gold, Silver and Bronze Medal winners as voted by the CBAC and the Canada Beer Cup, and multiple Alberta Brewery Award winners. With several "Brewery Districts" across the city, Calgary Brewery Tours are always moving around in the "Barley Belt", Inglewood, the Beltline and the Brewmuda Triangle to make sure we stop for the newest and best beers on tap in Calgary. With more than 40 Breweries as of 2022 (as seen in this YYC beer map), any craft beer fan would easily see comparison to Beer Meccas like Portland, Or, and Asheville, N.C.

Owners Ian and Beatrice and their team are some of our favourite people to visit. This sparkling clean brewery built in 2019 hosts about 10 perfectly balanced beers on tap and is always adding something to the rotation that is not expected, like Abbey Ales. YUM! Any brewery that wins a Canadian Gold Medal is worth a visit. This venue is a must try for beer snobs looking for perfection.

The Ape Index seems to win every competition it enters. So if you are in the mood for barley wine, OT is your spot. While there, try the 5 Hundie. It is one of the best juice bomb hazy IPA's going.
